On Dec 18, 2009, I attended a Terrapin beer tasting in Franklin, Tenn., hosted by Terrapin founder and brewmaster Spike Buckowski. Afterward, I had a chance to meet Buckowski and he was kind enough to answer a few homebrewing questions for me on camera. In the following video—the first in the “5-Minute Mentor” series—he discusses how he got started homebrewing, what advice he would give himself in hindsight as a homebrewer, and how to approach being more creative with your beer recipes.
